About us

A mother-and-daughter team, two generations of pet people

Generations is family-operated from Longwood, Florida. Between us, there have been several furry friends in the family every single year for two generations running — here's who will be looking after yours.

Beth

Co-founder

Beth has never known a home without a dog in it — she's had at least one by her side since her teenage years, from lovable mixed breeds to short- and long-haired Dachshunds to the Pomeranians who run the house today. And the dogs have rarely had the place to themselves: over the years her household has made room for cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, and even a hedgehog one memorable summer. If there's a wagging tail (or a twitching whisker) nearby, it has her full attention.

Before Generations, Beth worked retail and service jobs, then devoted herself full-time to raising her kids — and somehow still found the energy to coach cheerleading for rec league and high school JV squads along the way. Raising three kids (and a whole lineage of dogs) taught her the things pet parents care about most: showing up on time, paying attention to the little stuff, and loving somebody else's babies like your own.

Caitie

Co-founder

Caitie is Beth's daughter, and she's been sharing her home with animals since the day she was born — dogs always, plus the family's rotating cast of cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish. As a little girl she had a special talent all her own: nobody in the neighborhood could find and collect toads like Caitie. She grew up on her mom's cheer squads (yes, Beth was her coach), graduated from cosmetology school, and worked in hairstyling and makeup before going full-time raising her own family — though she's still the one the whole family trusts with their hair.

Pets run deep on her side of the family tree, too: between her two siblings there's a pit bull mix, a white Pomeranian, and a pair of Corgis. With everyone living around Central Florida, family get-togethers tend to have more paws than people — exactly how she likes it.

Come say hello

Every booking starts with a meet-and-greet — you meet us, your pets meet us, and nothing is confirmed until everyone's comfortable.
